To the players, sponsors, donors, and volunteers of the third annual “Salute to Service Champions Golf Tournament,”
We wish to express our gratitude for the continued outpouring of generosity, creativity, and all-round support from our community, family, and friends. Every idea, referral, assist, and dollar felt exponential this year; as we built upon each other's skills and contributions.
While we're still waiting for the numbers to finalize, it's expected that the Salute To Service Champions Golf Tournament has donated to the Wounded Warrior Project®️ over:
$46,000
With funds like these, Wounded Warrior Project®️ can continue operating and evolving their proven internal programs, while also partnering on external programs like UCLA Health's 'Operation Mend'. Watch these short videos to learn more about the type of impact you are having on the veterans who have served our country:
$126,000

YTD (3YRS)
We, along with the Wounded Warrior Project®️, thank everyone for your continued support. It's truly an honor to see a diverse set of people and organizations (even competitors) come together to strengthen not only our own community, but make exponential impacts beyond our purview. Let's see how it went down...

Tournament Day started months, weeks, and days before the beautiful (and windless) morning we were blessed with on June 4th, 2024. There were technical and material collaborations, vendors from Colorado to 1/2 way across the globe, and even the smallest of helpers providing an assist. Our volunteers traveled from near and far, worked within extreme timelines, and executed on every 'ask'. If you want to know what it's like to put this event together, any of the 'Indiana Jones' sagas might give you a sense. But we'll skip the cinematic depiction, and delight you with the Instagram version below:
Pre-Tournament
And though you could argue that we (like Indiana Jones) are our own worst enemy; showtime just wouldn't be as interesting if we didn't push the storyline (or hang those stage curtains 😉🎬🍿).
To every volunteer, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for pulling this event together; and for selflessly giving to the greater good.

Tournament day dawned with a slightly earlier check-in to facilitate a new pre-tournament Stacked Putting Contest sponsored by ELITE Roofing and Solar. Five (5) contestants were given the chance to win up to $650 cash from our partners at ELITE. Our contestants did a great job with everyone taking home at least $150 cash (thanks to Randy Brothers of ELITE for generously giving the contestants an extra $50 for playing!):

Bryce and Garrett both made it to the final putt and were so close to taking home $650 each! Though there was no grand prize winners this year; Garrett Sadusky's putt was closest to the pin, which earned him a bonus $100 for best in show! Awesome job to our contestants - and a huge 'THANK YOU' to ELITE Roofing and Solar for your generous sponsorship of this exciting new contest!

From Left to Right: Jesse Stetka (Son of Kelly Stetka, Farmers Insurance), Nolan Duda (Ideal Traits), Nicholas Holmes (Farmers Insurance), Garrett Sadusky (Farmers Insurance), Bryce Babcock (Farmers Insurance), Randy Brothers (Elite Roofing and Solar), Claciann Oliva (Farmers Insurance)

Apart from the pre-tournament putting contest, attendees were able to partake in delicious breakfast burritos from Santiago's Restaurant, hit endless range balls, practice on the putting green, and take in the beautiful morning views.

As pre-tournament activities wrapped up, players settled in their golf carts outfitted with:
-
A tournament-customized magnet golf towel
-
A tournament-customized magnet golf ball marker coin
-
Grab bags provided by PXG (Centennial), filled with snacks and helpful golf items provided by our thoughtful sponsors
-
Waters in koozies provided by the tournament beverage partner, Elite Roofing and Solar!

With players locked and loaded, Arrowhead released everyone to their starting tee boxes and the festivities began!

At Tee Box #2, PXG (Centennial) had us all feeling like a Pro. Players were able to pick from an assortment of high-end PXG hats/visors. And for a small donation to Wounded Warrior Project®️, teams could tee off from the 400 yard marker. Because of unforeseen circumstances, PXG was not able to attend the event in person. But they are truly a 'can't miss' team; so be sure to stop by the Centennial store to thank them for their support and to check out their superior equipment and service - we've seen first hand the difference PXG's cutting edge equipment makes in a golf game.

Bobby Shoemaker and Craig Phillips of PXG (Centennial)

On Tee Box #3, the team from Elevated Restoration offered players a cooler full of beverages, a table full of snacks, an awesome chipping contest to earn raffle tickets towards a chance to win a Vokey wedge(!), and an arsenal of construction and restoration solutions (of course)!
In addition to their 20+ years of experience tackling every roofing situation you can think of, Elevated Restoration also offers window, siding, gutter, painting, and many other exterior solutions from a curated team of craftsman who treat their projects like art and their customers like family. While expertly managing the complexities of construction, Elevated Restoration also works within the everchanging inter-dynamics of complex deals and dealers. They mediate between stakeholders to find mutual 'wins'. They've also been known to save projects, and probably some personal and professional relationships. Ever wonder how the world stays together with such competing interests? It's people like Josiah, Jared, and the team at Elevated Restoration who help make it happen. No matter what you're exterior project needs, and no matter where you are in the process, we wouldn't move forward without talking to Elevated Restoration.

At Tee Box #5, Restoration 1 offered an assortment of beverages and snacks, while also conducting a great 'guess the number of tees' raffle for a chance to win a TaylorMade Stealth 2 Driver!
Restoration 1 specializes in restoring property after it's been exposed to water, mold or fire damage. They also offer other comprehensive services, like: pack-out and storage, sanitation, vandalism/graffiti clean-up, and beyond. Their restoration specialists are licensed by the IICRC, and they are experienced in working with Farmers Insurance and other insurance companies. When the clean-up is so bad you don't know where to start, Restoration 1's decades long experience has allowed them to see it all, handle it all, and given them the ability to restore customers back to normal faster than anyone else. ⚔️

At Tee Box #6, we were honored for 3 years in a row to have the amazing fellows from Weed Man lawn care services. They brought back their much beloved barrel frisbee throwing contest where players could earn raffle tickets towards either a bag of fertilizer or 1 year of free lawncare services! They've cracked the code on endearing their way into our player's hearts; and for decades they've used science to create beautiful outdoor spaces. Hearts of gold, prizes worth their weight in lawn gold, and utopian results you don't need Frisbee skills to access. Take some unnecessary stress out of your life and let Weed Man handle your lawn; we promise it will be a worthy investment.

At Tee Box #7, Core Roofing + Solar and Water Damage Inc. continued to have something for everyone 😍. The Magical Ashley from Core was like our very own 'Genie in the Lamp' playing 'Bob Barker on the course'. There were sweet and savory snacks aplenty, a prize wheel, 'guess the number of gems' game, and a 'swing speed' contest for a chance to win a Happy Gilmore gift basket filled with an indoor putting green, a "Gilmore" hat, and 1 dozen ProV1 golf balls!
As 2-year supporters of this tournament and our districts, Core Roofing + Solar and Water Damage Inc. have always pulled out all the 'stops', continue to deliver on their philosophies of "Doing right matters"..."Any time, any day", and been steadfast partners to our customers. Our communities are truly fortunate to have friends like them. 🎶⛳✨🎉💎🧞♀️💎🎉✨⛳🎶

At Tee Box #8, Rick Sudul from Farmers Insurance Federal Credit Union offered an assortment of very popular jerky, snacks, and ice cold water 🤗. Rick also surprised players with their pick of Callaway, Titleist, and Srixon golf balls! And because Rick is all about options, he informed Farmers Insurance affiliates of the new FIFCU credit card that offers better cash back, the enhanced interest rates on short- and long- term CDs, and lower than market interest rates on auto and home loans. It's hard to beat the FIFCU family discount! Thank you, Rick and FIFCU, for keeping us informed of opportune ways to bank and use money in our personal and professional lives!

At Tee Box #9, Elite Roofing & Solar shared the stage with Kristen Schelling from BackSwing Golf Events. Affectionately nicknamed "The Storm" due to her ability to drop golf balls with precision accuracy (like hail falling from the sky); Kristen made bets that she could land the ball closer to the pin in one shot than all 4 players on a team 😱❄️🧊❄️🌬️. To give players their best chance at beating "The Storm", Elite Roofing & Solar offered a snack, a cooler full of Coors Light and Breckenridge beers, and outfitted everyone with Elite-branded CHROME TOUR X golf balls. But "The Storm" took it's toll; leaving players with a Pro shot from which to play, a handful of raffle tickets, and hope for winning a GolfForever Swing Trainer System.
Mother nature's storms rarely leave such a bright outlook. Thankfully, Kristen wasn't the only Pro on the hole this day. Elite Roofing & Solar are true professionals in every aspect of their business. From their highly trained and knowledgeable teams who work with the highest quality materials, to personalized service for every job; Elite Roofing & Solar's motto is "Roofing Done Right". They guide their customers through every step of a project and seamlessly work with insurance companies to reduce stress and streamline the process. They've even been known to help out friends by providing a 'fix' just because it was an upstanding thing to do. From residential to commercial, for all roof types and the highest quality solar; Elite Roofing & Solar are proven experts in handling front range situations and they are always the people for the job.

At Tee box 10, our new friends from ALM Abatements and 5280 Drywall & Repairs were hosting a 'can't-miss' party of their own! 🎶🫧🌶️🫧🎶 Have you ever seen anyone bring a 6-option oxygen bar and grilled jalapeño poppers to a golf course?! While taking in the scene, players could also enter the raffle to win a substantial cooler backpack filled with beer, scratch-off tickets, snacks, and multiple beverage opening tools. Their attention to detail and all-out efforts won them TWO "Best of" awards at the tournament, and it's indicative of the service and results you can expect from their organizations. The type of clean-up ALM does is dangerous and requires a company that does the job quickly and completely. ALM Abatements is certified by the state of Colorado, CDPHE Regulation 8 Part B, EPA, and OSHA to handle any size residential and commercial project. And with over a century of combined experience in the industry, they're the team to call for the most serious situations. Furthermore, in the unavoidable cases where repairing internal structures is necessary, ALM Abatements has partnered with 5280 Drywall & Repairs who specializes in completing jobs of any size and restoring structures to 'new' again. In the critical situations when their services are required, it's a God-send to have two companies seamlessly working together to handle a project from beginning to end.
Thank you ALM Abatements and 5280 Drywall & Repairs - you truly do make everything better!

At Tee Box #11, Wintrust Agent Finance boldly followed ALM and 5280 without missing a beat. Wintrust's 'flex' was in their prizes and auction donation, which also won them TWO "Best of" awards! Allow us to paint this 'Cinderella Story' for you...
Overlooking a grand view of the red rock bluffs, Wintrust gave players the opportunity to make 3 shots using an over century-old putter. Players who made 2-3 putts were able to pick from different prize levels which included: 1 Dozen ProV1s, a Wintrust Golf Towel, a "Keep Calm / Torrey On" Paddle, or a Frost Buddy koozie! Players who didn't make the putts were still able to partake in coolers filled with ice-cold Red Bulls, waters, fancy multi-flavored hazelnuts, and caffeinated jelly beans. Impressed? There's more. Wintrust also generously donated a Farmers Insurance Open Package that included a high-end backpack filled with the same/similar prizes, extra apparel, and
2 tickets to all 4 days in the Canyon Club at the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines! We love that Wintrust gave us tickets to our own golf tournament, we love that every part of their very generous booth was a 'nod' to that experience, and we love the genius options Wintrust provides in banking and finance! If you're looking to understand optimal agency banking/financing/buying/selling solutions, wish you had tickets to the ball, or generally want to inquire of brilliant minds; give Brian from Wintrust and Peggy from G-Force Agency Consulting a call and watch the world open up to you.

At Tee Box #13, Legacy Restoration, for 3 years running has pitched their flag at Arrowhead's stunning signature par 3 hole. This year, Legacy Restoration sponsored an new 'Target Shot' contest where players could land their ball within within 10ft of the pin to win $100 cash! The player who was closest to the pin at the end of the day could earn an extra $100! Weirdly, no one shot within 10ft. However, the upstanding people at Legacy still awarded two players who were closest to the pin $50 for 'best in show'. And every player received a Legacy-branded golf towel and pitch mark repair tool.
Legacy Restoration believes in leaving a legacy; both in their dedication to the community through charitable contributions, as well in the highest standards kept for their products, partnerships, service, and craftmanship. They offer multi-facetted exterior solutions, 3D rendering technology to view a complete job and make adjustments before it's started, consistently top industry award and preferred contractor lists, and work hand-in-hand with insurance companies to facilitate a streamlined experience for their customers.
To say Legacy Restoration 'raises the standard' is an understatement - they are the bar upon which the industry is built.

At Tee Box 14, Caliber Collision and Enterprise Rental Cars teamed up for the third year in a row to bring back their really fun (and funny) 'chip with your driver' contest, for a chance to win generous prizes that included: a dozen golf balls of various brands, golf games, ball markers, and drinkware.
We really appreciate the partnerships that exist between Caliber Collision, Enterprise Rental Cars, and the Farmers Insurance districts. Anyone who has ever been in a car accident or without transportation for any amount of time knows how devastating and debilitating it is to daily life. Caliber Collision and Enterprise Rental Cars not only care about getting you through that transition with some of the best rates and service in the business, they also selflessly give back to the community through charitable efforts on the corporate and local levels [See: Caliber's "Restoring You" and the Enterprise Mobility and Service Member Support initiatives]. Most recently and directly, Tabatha facilitated the participation of Caliber executives playing in- and contributing to- this year's event. And Markus petitioned and received approval from Enterprise corporate to donate an additional $1,250 directly to Wounded Warrior Project®️!
Thank you Markus and Tabatha, for being our trusted partners and the exceptional people we call friends!

At Tee Box #15, Melissa from ChipPros Auto Glass and Arturo from AEG Construction & Restoration joined forces to offer players an assortment of snacks, energy drinks, and vodka infused gummies; as well as some great water bottles and koozies. This "power-up" helped boost strength and confidence on a hole that forced players to hit a 290+ carry tee shot over red rock bluffs blocking the view of the green. As synchronicity goes, assisting customers with obstructed views and uncertain situations is exactly what ChipPros and AEG do!
ChipPros' Master Certified technicians are available for mobile, next day service anywhere along the front range; and their work is backed by a lifetime workmanship warranty. ChipPros' state-of-the-art technology, comprehensive service, and hassle-free claims assistance are highly praised by their individual customers; and trusted by major fleet companies like Enterprise and Lyft.
AEG's founder, Arturo Gonzalez, grew up in the construction business and became a business banker before later founding AEG with a vision to build a company based on integrity, quality, and legacy; in service, craftsman(ship), and community impact. Arturo uses his 360 degree experience and specialization in fire, water, mold, and asbestos mitigation to guide customers through difficult circumstances, and restore property through comprehensive reconstruction and interior remodeling services. AEG also works directly with insurance providers to facilitate a seamless and stress-free process from start to finish.
Thank you ChipPros Auto Glass and AEG Construction & Restoration! We're grateful for your kind of clarity on the team!

At Tee Box #17, Lisa, Troy, and Bryce from Storm Exteriors joined us on one of Arrowhead's most challenging par 3 holes. Trouble short. Trouble long. Trouble right. The only safe shot is short left or go for the flag. Storm Exteriors gave players motivation to go for the flag by offering a decorative tabletop fireplace to the person who shot closest to the pin from the tees!
Storm Exteriors' vast knowledge and experience in all things roofing, siding, windows, gutters, and exterior painting putts them in the upper echelon of companies qualified and trusted to do this work. Like professors of the industry, they answer questions you didn't think to ask, help you make decisions based on values you didn't know you had, guide you through every step of a project, and leave you with results that surpass what you thought was possible. Rounding out the course, we couldn't think of a better exclamation point than Storm Exteriors!

Throughout the round, we were excited to have two talented Pros from BackSwing Golf Events return to compete with our players! While Bryce Schroeder Ray spent the day hitting shots like a sniper down the 18th fairway 'alley of trouble', with water left and trees right; Kristen Schelling dropped shots with remarkably consistent accuracy on the 9th green. Huge shoutout to Elevated Restoration for making the biggest donation of the day: $400/hole -> $800 total! And huge 'Thank You' to Bryce, Kristen, and BackSwing Golf Events, for raising $5,060 in donations while continuing to add such a fun competitive twist to the day!

As players finished their round, the Elevated Restoration luncheon began in the event tent. Elevated Restoration treated everyone to a delicious BBQ spread, piles of sweet treats, and a classic from everyone's youth: Original Gourmet Lollipops.🍭

Josiah Mahan, owner and CEO of Elevated Restoration, greeted everyone, thanked all participants for a great day of golf and community building, and for the tremendous support of our military veterans. As evidenced by their multi-level support of this tournament (Tee Box Sponsor, Vokey Wedge Raffle, Pro Shot High Doner, Luncheon Partner) and the 5-star reviews from every person they know and work with (see here and here), Josiah and his team really go all-out on everything they do. Their commitment to their customers, product, service, and communication is nothing short of exceptional. When Elevated Restoration signs on, you know it's taken care of. (First mic drop)

Randy Brothers, Founder and President of Elite Roofing and Solar, also thanked everyone for coming out and supporting our mutual mission to establish networks that strengthen our community and provide customers with the best fit and highest level of service. His team is all business when it comes to championing a project. Need proof? See their hundreds of 5-Star reviews here and here. But in their third-year and multi-level support of this tournament, Elite also knows how to turn a good day into a next-level experience. To recap, Elite was the engine behind:
-
The pre-tournament Stacked Putting Contest, which awarded contestants with $150 - $400 each!
-
The Pro Shot contest at Hole 9, outfitting each player with Elite-branded CHROME TOUR X golf balls!
-
Unlimited beverages throughout the day as the tournament beverage partner!
Elite is a rare 'matrix maker' that deals in maintaining synergistic realities and iron-clad protection. They not only do 'roofs right', they do everything right. (Second mic drop)

Jake Norotsky, our honored guest from Warriors Speak, declined the mic. He's become accustom to letting his naturally amplified voice speak out. Jake is the son of a Vietnam Veteran and Paster whose mission in life was to serve others. That mission was cut short when his father committed suicide when Jake was in 10th grade. Jake wanted to continue his father's legacy, and felt like joining the military was the best way to do it. Jake served two tours in Iraq; becoming the crew chief on a Blackhawk helicopter, flying almost a thousand hours during his second tour and seeing combat everyday. During one mission, his aircraft was hit 36 times; they were out of ammo, out of fuel, and losing hope. Jake made it through that night, and eventually back home; but he was a different person. His time in the military had taken a toll on his body and his mind. Suffering from PTSD and suicide ideation, Jake's wife enrolled him in a five-day Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) Project Odyssey®. “The realization that I’m not alone, and I’m not broken; it was absolutely amazing,” says Jake. It’s a realization he wishes more people could experience, as he’s lost far too many friends to suicide. “There’s a saying I have up on the wall [that] says, ‘When the demons come to you in the night, call me, and we’ll fight them together.’ That’s what Wounded Warrior Project is.” Jake says, "The pathway that brought [him] to a better place [lead] right through Wounded Warrior Project". Now, Jake is speaking up for military veterans and changing the lives of young men on the football field. Placing emphasis on honor and accountability, first, has lead these young people to victories they might not have achieved without Jake's presence and influence in their lives. Wounded Warrior Project®️ has been working for over 20 years to put a stop to the cycles of military wounding. This work has a direct impact on veterans and their families, but also on each civilian in ways we may never realize. Jake's story is a testament to this. He left the stage to a standing ovation and with the reminder that support of military veterans through organizations like WWP is also a vital form of patriotic service.

Following Jake, all military veterans stood and were honored for their service, sacrifice, and bravery in protecting the principles and freedoms of our nation.

Thank you always to Jake Norotsky, the Warrior Alumni, and to all veterans for joining us this year, for your service to this country, and for your continued work in the community.
